Difference between Kayak and Paddle Board
2023-05-11
Comparing the 4000 kayaks (ocean) and the 40-year SUP paddle board, their difference is obvious.
Both are easy to get started, almost the same in the selection of shallow activities, there is no big difference. The difference in experiencers' feelings is mainly due to the difference in use. SUP is standing-up rowing. Kayaking is sitting-down rowing. Everything else is pretty much the same.
Vehicle carrying difference: no difference, hard equipment uses a hard top rack and soft equipment is directly stuffed into the trunk.
Differences in travel itinerary: It can be said that there is no difference and both short-distance and long-distance arrangements can be made arbitrarily.
Equipment load difference: SUP and marine boats of the same size class have almost the same load. If it is said that a kayak adventure class can bring a week of food and drink, then a SUP of the same level can carry so many things.
The difference in control difficulty: kayak control is easier to control than SUP control, and the control difficulty of SUP in open water is at least 1-2 levels higher than that of the kayak.

In summary, paddle boards are easier to carry than kayaks, and are suitable for all ages. Kayaking is faster and requires less effort than paddle boarding. With the same technology, the water flow environment for kayaking is richer.
